In 2003, in Bolesławiec, the author's home town, the idea was born to turn her great passion and love for regional products into a business. The outcome of this idea is Ceramika Artystyczna Vena, a family company. In the following years, the company located in the historical Brzeg-Legnica Duchy ruled by the Piast dynasty, which stretches from Bolesławiec, through Legnica, Wrocław, to Brzeg, supported the century-long tradition of making ceramic products, whose beginnings date back to the 15th century.
Since the company was established, it has drawn from the rich tradition, while introducing the spirit of up-to-date style and creating unique artistic handicraft. The new decorations created by the owner herself have won recognition among both Polish and foreign customers. The regional handicraft nature of our products has been confirmed by the certificates of the Warsaw National Artistic and Ethnographic Commission.
Because of its dynamic growth and broad investment plans, in the beginning of 2009 the company was transformed into a limited liability company.
The source of the unique nature of our ceramic products is our great passion for creating products of great quality and functionality and, at the same time, of high artistic value. Therefore, all the patterns and decorations on our products are created both with attention to the traditional character of Bolesławiec ceramic products and with the intent to introduce new styles and colors. The result is the wide selection of original and unique decorations in our collection. Our current offer includes over 200 different forms and over 150 decorations.
The main category of our products is ceramic tableware. It includes such products as plates, bowls, vases, different kinds of mugs, containers, pots, jugs, teapots, cups, dishes, and many others. Our assorted ceramic products, such as vases, Christmas tree baubles, bells, animal figures, boxes, etc., are also very popular among our customers.
All our ceramic products are formed manually and decorated manually using the stamp method as well as brush painting. Decorations of ceramic products are made using the underglaze method, which prevents them from rubbing-off and damage.
The cycle of ceramic production starts with the forming of dishes, drying, and preliminary firing at the temperature of 850 °C. The resulting biscuit products are painted with ceramic paint and then glazed and fired at the temperature of 1250 °C. Such high firing temperature gives the products their beautiful, shiny glaze and makes them very durable. The products can be used for oven baking and they are dishwasher- and microwave-safe. They also tolerate low temperatures very well, which makes them suitable for storing food in refrigerators and freezers.
Our products are valued by both Polish and foreign customers. Thanks to our intensive exports contacts, our products reach countries of Western Europe as well as Asia, North America and the Arabian Peninsula.
Our domestic customers, as well as foreign visitors, can become familiar with our products and purchase them in our company stores in Bolesławiec and Wrocław, as well as in our internet store.
A great opportunity for learning about and purchasing our products is various trade events, such as fairs and exhibitions, both domestic and foreign, where our company is an active participant.
